Title: Giving you guys a heads up
Post by: Manic Velocity on December 03, 2008, 08:55:19 pm: I'm typing up my "Goodbye" thread right now. I'm canceling my MxO subscription. For some reason all I could do today was ask myself why I'm still paying for a game that is no longer the game I originally bought. I'm sure I'll re-sub if something big comes up. But the recent changes to the game have not filled me with much confidence in so far as the game's future.

I'm not leaving FA. Don't put me in the dreaded "Retired" bin. :P At least, not until I find out who Broin really is, at which point I'll probably mysteriously disappear forever. :) This is just a step I'm taking to save a little extra money each month.

You don't lose that much with the Retired tag, but if your retiring your retiring..... Plus this only gives you more time to find out who Broin really is.....

I knew the homeless guy outside that McDonalds was looking at me funny! Excellent disguise, man. The "I slept in a Port-A-Potty last night" smell really pulled it together. :D

I'll jack in as much as I can as the holiday approaches. Mondays, Wednesdays and weekends are my most convenient times.

When I told my girlfriend that I cancelled, she asked who I was and what I had done with her boyfriend. :D The way I explained it to her is that I've resigned to the opinion that MxO is no longer The Matrix, and that made canceling a lot easier. And that's ultimately how I feel. The gap separating the game from the principles of the trilogy only seems to get larger with each update.

I agree with Jeyk...we need to schedule some time and have one big blowout for Manic ....I'll be in this weekend ....after the little one (AKA - Director) is asleep :D

Actually, The Agency will not have a monthly fee (http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/2698/the-agency-wont-adopt-monthly-fees-perfect-for-in-game-ads). :)
