Title: Game Day

I think we need to have a game day to get some people back into TS. I'm thinking that next Saturday night would be the best day to have this, unless we decide to push it back further. If this day does not work out for you, please, write down days that you would rather our Game Day be.

A list of games that we can play range from:

Online Poker
Counter Strike: Source
Team Fortress 2
Call of Duty 4
Matrix Online
Battlefield 2
Unreal Tournament 2004/UT3

Please list the games you would like to play on Saturday (or whenever we decide to hold this, within the next two weeks) so that we can decide on the game that the most people want to play, and, maybe if this is successful, we can hold this bi-weekly/monthly.

I have all of those games (MxO is installed, but no subscribtion), but I don't get home until 11pm FA time from work most nights, including the weekends.

If I had to pick one based on 'fun factor', it would be TF2 or UT3.

Poker all the way.

However if ya'll want to do it on a Fri or Sat I don't get in until 1am FAtime.

Right now, it looks like people either want to play CS:S or Online Poker. I am fine with either.

I am a little disheartened at the lack of desire to participate in this. 8 replies? Come on, guys.

If you're talking about this Saturday, the 25th, I have work in the evening until about 10 EST.

If it's a week from then, I'm not sure...I don't get my schedule until the Sunday before usually.

Sunday would work for me, at least in the evening. I have work in the afternoon but only until 4. However, my schedule is pretty volutile, so I'd prefer for rescheduling not to be based on me b/c there is never a complete guarantee that I can make it, although you know me and I try my best :)

Sunday seemed to work well for us when we had yotogi's last day in the Matrix. A good number of us were able to show up for that.

Unless there are any objections (like not being able to make it on Sunday evening), I think we should move it to Sunday to accommodate everyone.

I will play whatever the majority vote is.  Regardless, here is what I currently have:

CoD4
Crysis Wars
Farcry 2
BF2
TF2
MxO
UT3

I definitely would like to do Poker, but I'd like to see an FPS up there as well - maybe start off with the FPS, then run to Poker?

It looks like a majority of us are either willing to play Poker or Counter Strike: Source.

I personally like Jeyk's suggestion of playing both. How about those that have Counter Strike: Source play that together first at around 7pm FA time, and then once we get sick of that, those that still want to stay can play Poker? I think that works out fairly well considering the responses to this thread.

If 7pm FA time (5pm Pacific, 8pm EST) does not work out for a majority of us, please specify the times that you are available.

Well, we managed to get a total of six people on for the Game Day.

First, ManicVelocity, Tbone, and I played some Counter-Strike: Source for about 45 minutes (some good Gun Game!). Lits came on for a bit, but her microphone did not work, and Lithium came in TS but did not talk much either. Soon after, we three migrated over to MXO for a bit. There weren't many reds on, so Tbone left because he didn't want to farm. Manic and I farmed for about a half an hour, every once in a while getting pestered by the stray red. Manic started to get a headache and he left. I jacked out and played TF2 for about five minutes and realized how bored that I was. Yotogi came in, we talked for a bit, and then he had some stuff he had to work on, so he couldn't play anything. TheSorrows came in for a bit, but I didn't hear much from him. Eventually, he, yotogi, then Lithium left. I played Half-Life 2 for about an hour and a half, waiting for someone else to come into TS. Tbone eventually came back from AFK but there was no one on at that point to bother doing anything.

All in all, it was a very lack-luster attempt at participation. Hopefully we can organize this better next time.. I apologize for that.
