The Matrix Announced for Blu-ray
Posted July 24, 2008 09:12 PM by Josh
Warner Bros. Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring the highly anticipated 'The Ultimate Matrix Collection' to Blu-ray on October 14th. The seven-disc set will include five BD-50s - one disc for each of the three Matrix films, one for Animatrix, and one for "The Matrix Experience" - and two DVDs. Also included in the set will be a hard-cover book with photos and information from the films.
Video will be presented in 1080p VC-1 and accompanied by a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras for this release include:
* 3 Exclusive In-Move Experience BonusView features
* 35 hours of extras
* Digital download of 'The Matrix'
* Much more
Even the AniMatrix gets HD treatment!? Fucking SWEET!
I'm so on this.

So Animatrix didn't get the HD treatment on the Ultimate Matrix HD DVD?
I'm a cheap-ass, so I'm probably going to buy the HD DVD set used, being that I got the 360 HD DVD player for $50.
