Title: Dagonet gets engaged
Post by: Da6onet on January 23, 2007, 11:59:17 pm: I know I've been MIA for a while but I've been busy, traveling, a lot. However in that time I did accomplish something good ^_^
I got fed up waiting for the timing to be right to pop the question, so a little stumbling and a "yes" later and I'm now officially engaged!

here's what the ring looks like for all the ladies that care.

1.2ctw EC Al2O3 with Fe and Ti impurities (blue)
0.342ctw 2xTC + pave C with inherent N impurities
14gtw 14k Au with Ag and Cu alloy

more pictures are sure to turn up :-p

for now, just thought i'd share the news and also say that I will definitely be back this weekend and onward on a much more regular basis (so much as my woman will allow....)

It's going to be a while, I think most likely May or June 2008 and will most likely be held in Charlottesville, VA. However, I'm not really in charge of these decisions :-p

Her father is a Physics professor and he and I both agreed my idea for getting her a Silicon Carbide ring would have been much cooler, but then again the ring isn't for us :-p

Congratulations! I wish you both the very best. You're a very dedicated and funny and intelligent man, and truly, besides loving her, that's all a girl could ask for.

And damn good taste, too. That ring took my breath away.
