That's hilarious. Nintendo is now going to market the Wii as a workout machine. ;)
-
some fat ass kid will have a heart attack and that'll be the end of the Wii.

The problem is probably more of time thing than anything. Holding your arms up for that long (if you play for hours) while holding anything is gonna put some strain on your arms. Not to the point where you should be sweating head to toe, but I imagine you'll find yourself wanting to put your arm down. Don't you remember raising your hand in class and waiting forever for someone to call on you and trying your best to keep your hand raised, but you had to switch hands to remain comfortable or prop it on something? I saw this coming with the Wii a mile away. It's a cool concept but people just don't want to hold their arms up in front of their face for hours on end.
-
Sue now while you can, should be a nice settlement!
-
First of all.. have fun suing a japanese company... secondly.. You really don't have to hold the remote in front of you the whole time.. on several games like Trauma Center I can prop my elbow on my knee and still have enough movement to play the game well... its just people watch the commercials and think... wow.. that is how I have to do it...
Buy the Wii.. lots of fun.. no defects and is a great system all together.. downloading Original NES games now.. ;)

I won't be able to get one until January. I'm trying to hold off on buying the GameCube version of Zelda next month, but I don't know if I can restrain the urge to buy it once I see it on store shelves.

Maybe thats theire way of controlling how long you play...Most parents complain that their kids play to long, and this is their way of resloving that problem....who knows :)

It is beyond me how a normal person can get tired playing the Wii. It’s not like you have to have your arm outstretched the entire time you play. You hold the Wii Remote like a regular controller until the need calls for pointing, you can even keep your arm at full rest seeing as how the controller is split in two parts.
For games that need you to be aiming constantly just prop your elbow on your knee like Heironymus said. Personally I have never gotten tired or even felt strange while playing my Wii and the very first thing I did was play tennis and bowling for about 2 hours with some friends.
If you happen to find yourself sweating and aching over a Wii game I seriously recommend getting your life re-evaluated.

So I've been playing my N64 since 6am this morning and I can't feel my thumb and it started to turn blue. Should I be worried?
-
Yeah cause you are still playing N64 time to get with the times.
-
damn straight I am! I'm not gonna buy one of these new systems which are repackaged eMachine computers puked out in shinny boxes with an IBM video core.

lol agrees with lithium besides they will all be obsolete in a year or so :( especially with dx10 games on pc coming out. It would be different if the consoles actually had the ability to upgrade. Now that would be a bad ass console.

If that was true though why the gap between NES, SNES, N64, GC and Wii? People still bought, enjoyed, and continue to enjoy them!
PCs can get upgrades sure, but they don't look as seckseh right now as the consoles do. The only difference imo is that they can get add-ons to the games, texture updates etc. With a console at least there's no multi-tiered gaming with some players on the DX10 tier and others on the DX7 tier ;)

Well I have seen some seckseh comps and mine is kinda seckseh so i find this comment null.

I respectfully disagree, and slap you round the face with a glove just to make the point.
