This appears to be a cruel hoax. Fuse was able to reach Sared on the phone. He should be logging in to an account I've set up for him soon.
We received this email from Sared's college:

Sared is alive. His laptop was stolen. Below is the original post, but has proven to be NOT true.
Sared aka Aaron died Oct 31 of Stomache Cancer
I do not know if this is a hoax. If one of our other members can some how confirm this, I would like to know post haste, but from the following Instant Message converstaion, I'm worried it might be true.

Last night during Venlar's interview, I was wondering when Sared was going to check in and say hi.
This fucking sucks. :( Sared was one of the best. If we can get an address, we should all put together a letter to his family. Something that lets them know that he will be remembered. I'd also be willing to buy an FA coin to send to them.
Sared was always up for talking in TS when nothing was going on in the game. He popped in for a chat back in February. He mentioned taking seminary classes and we talked about religion for an hour or so.
Sared was family. He will be missed.

If someone can please contact the person who left that email address for verifying, to get some contact details so we can all chip in on a coin. I think it would be fitting that it is passed along to show that his virtual friends cared for him as much as his real ones.

Yes, he was family. This is terrible news. I would like to send a letter/flowers too if anyone can find that address. He always had something intelligent and constructive to contribute... I looked foreward to his voice when he popped in. God be with him, and his family.

Alright, if that Timothy guy was screwing with our heads over something as serious as Sared's stomache cancer I'm WALKING my ass to Texas and busting some fucking skulls.....
To play the Devil's advocate, remember that forms could have been lost, perhaps the college hasn't updated their files or they haven't recieved word yet. We can only hope. Is there another way we can confirm this? I say we wait for at least one more piece of evidence.
And then I'm going to Texas.

I did wonder that, but they said alive and well. That's pretty conclusive, and the church isn't going to lie. I really don't know what could be going on. On the one hand I'm devastated by the news, on the other I'm wondering if this was a ruse for him to move on and make distant between us? It's all just so screwed up.

Wow, I want to cry with you Vermillion. :'( He was one of the first people I talked to in FA when I first joined. :( He was even kind enough to make my awesome sig that meant so damn much to me on my end. I talked with him a few times on MSN and had a few laughs as well. Damn bro, you indeed will be missed!

I called his school in CA and the lady who answered phone said that I can't be transferred to the dorms but she'd take a message, so I left my number for him to call me back.
He used to have my old cell number, and I've long since lost his...hmm...maybe it's still in my old cell, I'll have to check when I get back home. I'll update once I hear something back, hopefully.

I don't know. If he passed away two weeks ago, then it is probably more likely that the school isn't up-to-date than that a roommate hijacked his laptop that he hasn't been on for months now to play jokes with people regarding his cancer. I hope, however, that the school is right.

Apparently Sared's laptop was stolen two weeks ago. Fuse talked to him on the phone. Whoever the guy was either knows Sared personally or was able to find out enough about him through his laptop to add insult to injury by fucking around with his friends. That really pisses me off, but I'm more relieved than anything.
Let's help Sared out be seeing what we can dig up on this sonicmixer2000@gmail.com guy. Just be careful - we already know he's a thief.

That's where Sared lives. Perhaps the thief simply found one of Sared's friend's contact information. I guess he'll confirm it when he logs on later. If not, then the thief is really stupid to give us his email address.
Edit: Sared made a comment on the guy's profile, so I'm guessing the thief just found a friend's contact. In other words, no leads :(

Just to clarify, ol Timmy is one of Sared's friends, NOT the guy who stole the laptop. I just talked to Sared on TS for about 30 minutes. The gmail account was created November 14th, so it was made up based on the information the kid found on the computer. Sared had it stolen at a high school that was hosting a college class he was taking, so it's probably some punk high schooler.

If Sared can remember his MAC address (I doubt it), then I can see if I can find the laptop online, and grab the IP. From there, we can see what's possible....
But I seriously doubt he'll remember the MAC, unless he had to register it somewhere, or has it noted in any documents that came with the laptop.

Wow. I just finished reading these 5 pages, and I am disgusted by this. It's a relief to know that you're alright Sared. Someone needs to help Sared compromise that computer by tricking whoever that fucker is that's messing with everyone's heads into accepting some sort of 'file' and find out that MAC address so he can get what's coming to him.

I just spoke with the police officer that patrols the high school, he said he's been keeping a watch out, but that he hadn't (up until now at least) been patrolling the library, the only place he could have been accessing the internet insofar is I can tell.

May have to wait until the machine is switched on... also depends on security settings....
I will be trying to narrow down the IP ranges available in Sared's area - saves checking the entire world, which takes some time. If anyone can provide extra info on the area, then thanks!
1) Send ping REQUEST (ICMP Echo) to IP (range 0.0.0.0 - 255.255.255.255)
2) ARP requests the destination MAC (arp who-is IP em ps)
3) Remote computer responds with MAC (arp IP is MAC)
