Three people threw a hissy fit on the forums because they were silenced during an in-game event today. It looks like Rarebit decided to take off his belt and lay the law of the land down. Enjoy!

Hahahaha pwnt..... freedom of speech my a**. I love that people are finally being told to shut up. Spying on a meeting is good if you're doing it in an RP way. Trying to take out a live events member just for the prestige? Stoopit.

Gahahahahaha, jesus *wipes tear from eye*

I almost want permission to post about a few dozen things people have forgotten about the game and how Real Life laws don't apply to it.
-
I hope he uses the silence button more often.. :D

The poster was polite and asking a genuine question, he finally got the answer.
On the side note, any unwelcome people should be an enemy, including spammers. PVP server should take him down in a meeting room. I have no problem with spys, or an attempt on the meeting holders life (yeah -- good luck!!), as it DOES create better RP; next meeting might need more guards posted etc...

even if you take him down in the meeting room *aka killing him* unfortunatly that doesn't stop his talking abilities... :( actually... for some reason.. those kinda of people it seems to encourage them to continue talking.

Rarebit seemed to handle the whole thing very well.

I wish that ignore would actually cover area chat and shouts. I still don't understand why it is exclusive to tells after all this time.
-
The SOE chat system that was implemented does not support the ignore feature as well as the AIM system does, and it would take a significant amount of work to get it done when you have the majority of the community begging for new content. The only solution is to get more Devs, but SOE is too cheap to do that as the game isn't making enough money right now.
It's a lose/lose situation either way. If they spend time implementing the ignore feature, people will complain about the lack of content being developed, and vice-versa.

wow, there is a God! :)
