Im not very good with photoshop. I trying to learn it, I decided to do my first FA background of my char. This is what I came up with.

I like the FA emblem on your gloves.. thats a nice touch... Not bad...
I think it would be cool if you were able to make your character onto a seperate layer... make the background about 40% opaque.. then add a layer underneath your background that was falling code *in black and white* but it would show through because your background is translucent... *I finally used that word, I told myself I would never use it back in high school, guess I was wrong* Just a though...

Good start. You'll find that after wrapping your brain around some key concepts (layer manipulation and the almighty PEN tool) then the rest is fairly intuitive.

I didn't notice the FA symbol at first, but that's the way it should be. It really is a nice touch :). How did you do it? Resized the Angel logo and fit it into place?

Looks nice, I've been playing around with photoshop for the first time as well and having a blast doing it.

Yes Lits. I took the Angel symbol off the front page. Magic wanded it and then erased any extra. Just resized it to fit on the gloves. Photoshop is fun as hell, im having a blast as well. Hell i mean im messing around with giving Sorrows a tatoo of the Angel symbol. can decided on the next or a big one on the back :)

Here are some really cool guides to make your pictures look even better and add to what everyone has been saying. This tutorial right here really lays the groundwork for everything.

I also suggest checking out the Residual Self Image Board on the Matrix forums.. it's hella cool there. There are some very talented people there that could help everyone out there.
