Title: Outlaw54 and ML cannot be trusted!
Post by: Tbone on December 07, 2005, 03:23:57 am
One of our members stumbled onto a conversation between Outlaw54 and members of Viral Vendetta. Outlaw was giving intel to them, telling them that Niobe was supposed to meet with Zion soon. He told them he would relay the position of Niobe so that Viral Vendetta can attack. Judging from the conversation, Outlaw54 and Morpheus' Legacy have turned and should no longer be trusted. Please spread the word to all loyal Zionites!

This information has been spread to a small number of captains that I trust, there is an unconfirmed report that Machete of the black market also cannot be trusted. More on this as it develops throughout the day.

That was our top story from the MCNN, thank you and stay tuned for the weather. lol

Damn, that is some crap. I heard all kinds of stuff about ML staying loyal to Niobe and not turning Locke or Masked Men at the last RP Manic, Da6, and I were at. Friggin' bastards are an insult to their faction name if this is actually true.

hmmmmmmmmmm, if that's the log then I'm sure it's real. It has enough grammatical errors in there to definitely be a conversation with Trucidos. lol Plus, they were stupid enough to announce it in area chat instead of PMing or anything. LMAO

The thing is that all the LET controlled characters are buffed to the max; Seraph was consistently rolling about 400 on Broin (I'm sure they have VD to match that too.) I would love the see VV jump her and get their asses handed to them, damn that would be swell.

However, If we were to ever go to such a meeting, I suggest we get on teams with at least one person hanging back in each team with recall mission team loaded and ready to go. We'll pull out, gear up, and go back in ready to kick some ass.

They won't be able to attack her.  LET characters and CSR's (on the odd blue moon that you see them in game) belong to no organization by default.  Their name shows up red, but they cannot be attacked.  If they choose to allow themselves to be attacked (such as when Seraph dueled Broin), they can change Org at will.

You are missing the point. It looks bad for Zion when a Zionite meeting is invaded.

Sorry about that, boss.

Well, looks like we owe VV one after the Seraph meeting, so I suppose we'll just have to "stumble upon" the meeting.

Do we have any actual allies we can call on for assistance?  It's this sort of thing that shows the strengths and weaknesses of the Zion Relay...

We need to get the word out about this.  If we have such vital information and don't do anything about it, we're basically sending Zion soldiers to the slaughter.

Thank god for the new email system.  Can we pool together a list of our reliable Zion contacts to get in touch with and warn them of a possible ambush?

It seems the Niobe meeting was done safely. We still need to spread the word, though.

I dunno... something's fishy. Il agree that the bastard can't be trusted, but something sounds like they wanted to be found, maybe a new RP? First off, I dont know many people that would be stupid enough to have a traitorus conversation in area chat... and I'm in high school :p Second, Outlaw54 didnt seem like the kind to associate with VV, I'm probably wrong but he just didnt strike me as that type. And third, that meeting sounded much to RP...... I dont know VV to RP much without planning before hand. I have the feeling he wanted to be found. You should also talk to the ML people because i doubt all of them are traitors, just outlaw, plus you should ask if outlaw was sent to provide bad info to VV. He could be a double agent.

We've been tracking Outlaw for a while now, to be honest. He's been feeding them intel for the past few weeks. Before that, Outlaw was in kahoots with Dapharmer, leader of the Risen (now Fallen) Triad against many Zionites, especially us. He never was very trustworthy, just as Dapharmer wasn't. We're simply forcing his hand a little before he'd like - I believe Morpheus' Legacy's plan is to go Cypherite as soon as that org is available.

I just had a meeting with TBM.  They are up to date with the info and plan to fight along side us should ML try anything.

I doubt cypherite is going to become an actual org (unless you guys know something I don't which is very possible) That would offset a lot of things.... I dunno i just think soe is a bunch of lazy bastards who only care about their cash cows and care very little about the grammar they use in customer service :p (see kayda's post) so i doubt they would spend the time coding into a game an entire new org.

Man, it's because they're a cash cow that they will put it in. SoE is a muney hungry company, but they have lots of money to put into the games. They know MMOs. They know how to provide what is needed to continue profiting on a game. They have the experience and means to give us everything we want, because if they don't-they don't make money.

It's also the main reason I left EQ after 3½ years. They gave the players everything they wanted. That made the game not only borring, but moronicly even. If I put in 10 hours a day into the game I expected to be further along and have better items than someone only putting in 10 a week, but that wasn't the case.

It's not really SOE's decision. Paul Chadwick, the story writer, said in an interview that by the end of the first year, there will be six organizations. It's been the ongoing theory that the three main ones will each split into sub-orgs (for instance, Zion Command vs. Morpheus followers, Machinists vs. Cypherites, and Mervs vs. Exile Rebellion). That's just an example. But SOE doesn't really have the power to say "Um, change the storyline". They could choose not to add it into the game and just have it be part of the story that isn't accessible to the players, kind of how they most likely changed the cinematic that was supposed to have an actual player in it (the death of the assassin cinematic looks like it was the one that was supposed to have it).

Yea I agree T I think your right about the cine with the random redpill.  Then again this Cryptos thing we are in right now should have been an event too.

Maybe they are savign the split off into different orgs when they get the new combat. Now wouldn't that be fun.

Meh, an event would have been great because this seems like a really great story and it kills it that we know there will be no ending; it's just random crap. I for one can't wait for the split so we can kill some traitorous bastards :)
