Right after the mission XP nerf fiasco, I proposed an idea to Walrus about a specialized focus group for live events, and future patches. I noticed in the "Let's Talk About Spies" Thread that he made, that he mentioned the "new" focus groups. So I sent him a PM about a few things, including the Live Events team ignoring us, and a couple other things:
Dear Walrus,
Sorry to disturb you, I'm sure you get a lot of PMs in the day, but I was curious about something. You mentioned something in the "Let's talk about Spies" thread about a Focus Group. I was just curious if you were implementing the Focus Group I had suggested back during the Mission XP Nerf. Also,
on a lesser note, I was curious if there was a pecific reason as to why for a good while the Live Events Team didn't interact with any members of my faction, like they had back in beta. Only recently, was I able to send a tell to "Invalesco" and actually got a response. Before this past weekend's event, none of them ever spoke to any of my fellow faction members. I was just wondering if there was any hard-feelings between the mix up with the Shaper, or any other reason we can attempt to correct. Thank you
for your time and understanding.

His reply was rather quick, and very well done. It pleased me to see that my proposal for a focus group had actually been considered, and helped to push forward the idea. Here's his response:
Hi Kayda,
As we have an open testing server (which is sadly lacking in player load), it's only appropriate that we hear from the community on how the game is playing. No matter how much internal testing we do, you all have an advantage of seeing how "the real world" works. ;) The idea of restarting a Focus Group type of deal on the forums had already been discussed, and the community's enthusiastic reaction to the idea you brought up confirmed that we need to do so.
I can't speak directly to the Live Events issue you mention. However, I do know they can be spread pretty thin at times and are trying to ensure that a wide player-base gets a chance to participate in live events. I don't know that there are any hard feelings, just a need to make sure it's not only the high-end factions that are part of the ongoing storyline.
There's no way to please everyone in the community, but we try to make sure everyone who wants to be involved can be. From FA's posts on the forums, it sounds as if you're already taking care of any player abuses among your members. That is all we could ask from any faction playing the game.
Cheers,
Walrus
Can ya' dig it?

You know why he said that right...
He just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico.

! Kayda that's awesome.
I can't speak directly to the Live Events issue you mention.
Does he mean:
"I can't speak directly about the Live Events issue you mention."
or:
"I can't speak directly to the Live Events team about the issue you mention."
EDIT: haha Nemi :P
