As many of you know, after Revolutions, the Matrix was restarted with a tense truce in place between the humans and machines. The conflict has gone underground with each Organization publicly declaring their desire to uphold the peace. Open Organization warfare in the heart of MegaCity is out of the question, although already tensions flare in the chaotic Archives.

OvO? Is this going to be an option of some kind? Haven't read about this anywhere else - anyone got a clue?
-
it is going to be ovo and not open pvp
-
So as long as we are officially "at war" with another faction, we can fight any of em?
Curious how this will work on the PVP server... after all I thought we could /pvp and just fight anyway..?
-
it willl only be ovo when the story calls for it ie. when the truce startes to break down which will be around april 4th
-
wooo ok. Heh I guess I should read some more, but I've been waaaaaaay too busy.
-
its like pvp, but not lol, pretty much open pvp at 16 and above and then choosing to enter which would be a bad idea to anyone under 16. as long as hyperjump works as well as it usually does, i should be able to run away at all times.
-
in the fanzine they said it would take a whole YEAR for the truce to pop......am iwrong about the time frame?
-
yeah your wrong walrus said it will pop around april 4th of 2005

It would make sense to keep the truce up for an extended period of time for the servers that don't focus a lot on pvp, like the RP server for example. Those who want more accelerated storyline would have to head to one of the servers with more moderate to heavy pvp to see how the story plays out. It does make it more tense in MxO when you have to watch your back after level 16 and in a faction, but do they really want to drop such a important milestone in the Matrix saga so soon after release?
I agree in one way that it's good for publicity and reviews, but not a wise move on the storyline portion. Although they do have a whole year's worth of storyline material, as they claim. Guess we just have to trust what they have in store for us.
