Title: Checking In
Post by: Eroz on February 05, 2005, 02:52:31 pm
With this new character wipe, we will be going over activity. You are expected to check in with your ship, in game. Ff you are not found on the game in ship list you will be placed on the inactive list. You have until Monday Evening (Feb 7) to check in. If you do not remember which ship you are in go to the //programs/hovercrafts and look for your name.

Captains - Check you PM boxes.

Might be a good idea for all captains to start using their HvCft forums for team posts too ;)

Sorry for the confusion. The date of Feb 7 is GMT - 8. For those of you who live in the 95% rest of the world (aka not USA) you still have 35 hours from this post.

We don't need to check in here do we? As long as we get on our ship in-game.

Just in case: checking in :P

I'll be checking in in-game tonight - had a little difficulty DL'ing the patch on dialup, but I should be in this evening.  Otherwise - Checking in, sir.

Hey, Kairos.  does that mean that you play the game with dial-up?  if so, does it run okay?  I tried it on dial-up and it was garbage.  Of course, it was also on 386MB RAM (now 768MB).

Actually, much to my surprise, it runs pretty damn good - especially since the patch.  I can't run any other programs in the background, but now at HL's where EVERYONE hangs out I get the same lag (little to none, believe it or not) as I do almost anywhere else.  I always had a nast amount of lag in the 01 Construct & have yet to hit the new construct with my uber-level-4 1337 Awakened RSI, but in most of the game, it runs pretty well.

I am running on a P4 2.8G HT Proc, 256M Radeon 9600 DDR, 512M DDR400, so that might be helping.  My brother tried my PC when he patched the client for me at his house on his DSL.  He turned on Rich World, which I can't run due to the dialup factor, & is now compelled to upgrade his PC...but I'll be on DSL once repairs to my home have been completed & my family gets to move back...can't wait!
